Celebrity Sightings: Country Stars Hit MGM Grand Hot Spots during ACMAs

In the city for a little work and a lot of play, country’s finest partied and played at WET REPUBLIC – Vegas’ first ultra pool – and the legendary mega club Studio 54.
The weekend’s festivities capped off Sunday evening (5/18) when live from the ACMAs before 11 million viewers, superstar
Reba McEntire gave a playful mention of WET REPUBLIC right before introducing a performance by Montgomery Gentry. Reba quipped,” Have any of you been to the party pool? It’s called WET REPUBLIC, where hundreds of people drink, swim and jump in and out of hot tubs. Friday, May 16, 2008In the early hours of Friday morning on the pool deck below WET REPUBLIC,
LeAnn Rimes and Trace Adkins each gave two live performances for a broadcast of CBS The Early Show as onlookers crowded around for a glimpse of the artists.
Toby Keith, one of country music’s finest, was seen partying at the legendary Studio 54 in MGM Grand. Keith was seated in the nightclub’s VIP skybox surrounded by friends and fans. He enjoyed bottle service and the atmosphere of the illustrious nightclub while partying into the early hours of the morning.
Saturday, May 17, 2008Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts partied at WET REPUBLIC the entire day. The group took home were named Top Vocal Group and won The Humanitarian Award at the 2008 ACMAs.
Monday, May 19, 2008Today at WET REPUBLIC, one of country music’s cutest couples –
Miranda Lambert, last night’s ‘Album of the Year’ winner and
Blake Shelton – stopped by WET REPUBLIC for Shelton’s appearance on Great American Country’s Top 20 Country Countdown hosted by
Nan Kelley, airing later this week. Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter
Keith Anderson also made a quick appearance for GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.
Eddie Montgomery, half of country music’s favorite duo Montgomery Gentry, soaked up the hot sun in one of WET REPUBLIC’s neon green water lounges located in the six-inch wet deck.

David Spade made a stop at WET REPUBLIC. He was seen relaxing in the poolside ultra lounge enjoying chicken paninis and chicken skewers while listening to the DJ’s hot summer beats.
Later in the evening, former NFL MVP and winner of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’
Emmitt Smith, was spotted at Tabú Ultra Lounge. Seated right in the middle of the dance floor with Grey Goose and mixers, Smith enjoyed the seductive nightspot so much that he jumped on the tables and showed club goers that he hasn’t lost his moves since leaving DWTS and danced all night long.
Sunday, May 18, 2008Emmitt Smith also made an appearance at WET REPUBLIC for the launch of its weekly party Daylife Sundays. Smith was seen relaxing in one of the VIP Bungalows while enjoying the outdoor party atmosphere and loud heart pumping beats spun by DJ Nathan Scott.
