Writing, producing and performing 3 albums in 4 years, substantial mainstream and independent radio play, and hundreds of live shows under his belt, Luke is just getting warmed up. 2006 and 2007 proved to be good years when Luke was hand picked from 48,000 submissions as "Best New Artist" two years in a row by Just Plain Folks, the largest independent music awards show in the world. So go ahead, enjoy yourself some Brother Luke. You'll be glad you did.

If you haven't been lucky enough to attend their other shows, let me offer you this fair warning. You will see half naked women, singing punk rock songs, all while making sure you get VERY VERY messy. Again... THIS IS A SHOW NOT TO BE MISSED!

Downtown Las Vegas Vs The Strip

There is an on going debate about where one should go when they come to Las Vegas, Downtown or The Strip. I guess it really has to do with what you're looking for. What sets the two areas apart, I feel, has more to do with what you think is important.

Are you more into a $3 Pabst Blue Ribbon beer or a $15 Grey Goose and Red Bull? Do you shop for your clothes at Marciano and Bebe or do you shop at Savers? Would you classify yourself as independent or trendy?

These are just a few of the questions you might ask yourself before heading to either The Strip or Downtown Las Vegas. I do encourage you to visit both places. To get a feel of what you might see when visiting Downtown Las Vegas, check out the video below.

NYE Photos: The Bangles at Fremont Street

Click the photos below to check out the gallery.

So, I decided to steer clear of the madness at the Las Vegas Strip nightclubs, and head down to the Fremont Street Experience to get some shots of the New Years Eve festivities down there. One of my all time favorite bands, The Bangles, just happened to be playing down there with The Doobie Brothers. I took my friend/photographer assistant Bishop down with me, as he is a big fan of The Doobie Brothers.

The Bangles kicked ass. They played several of their hits songs, some covers, and a couple of new songs. The ladies were so gracious with their time too. It was FREEZING cold out there, but they never complained once and were always smiling. The last time I saw The Bangles was a few years back at the House of Blues inside Mandalay bay.

Although, MANY a young man back in the day were fascinated by Susanna Hoffs, I was more of a Vicki Peterson fan. Especially in their In Your Room video (the video is included belown). Don't get me wrong, Susanna is very attractive, but my eye has always been on Vicki. Needless to say, I had a very enjoyable evening last night.

Click the photos above to check out the gallery.

If you're a youngin, and for some reason don't know who The Bangles are, below is a video of their hit song, In Your Room.

Video Spotlight: Deadly Seven and their band The Kuntz

Wow, an AMAZING performance by the punk band Deadly Seven and their band The Kuntz. All seven sins were represented; Lust, Pride, Envy, Wrath, Greed, Sloth, and Gluttony. For those of us not lucky enough to see Wendy O. Williams play live, this band is quite the homage. If you want to know what it's like to see The Deadly Seven live, just click on the photos above. You won't be disappointed.

RawVegas.TV was also there. Below is video they shot from Deadly Seven's Live Performance at Beauty Bar. Check it out.
