ViSalus Donates Over 70,100 Meals In Time For Thanksgiving to Those Affected By Hurricane Sandy

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Thousands of people affected by Hurricane Sandy will receive a nutritious treat on their Thanksgiving tables tomorrow thanks to a contribution by ViSalus, a company known for its mission of Life, Health and Prosperity.  Through the Vi-Community Challenge, the company donated 2,100 Vi-Shape® Nutritional Shake Mix pouches – the equivalent of 63,000 meals – and 7,100 Nutra-Cookies™ to those affected by Hurricane Sandy in three communities in New York and New Jersey.

"As so many of us sit down to a traditional Thanksgiving meal, we want to remember those families that have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy," said Ryan Blair, ViSalus Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.  "I am proud of our Promoter community that went above and beyond to help us identify and deliver nutritious shakes and cookies to the families who need our help most.  Promoters from across the country jumped in to help, and their generosity helped us provide nutritious products to those individuals who were affected by the storm."
