Desiree Veilleux Memorial - 1980 - 2009

I just got back from the memorial service held for Desiree Veilleux. The service took place at the Bellagio, with many of her closest friends in attendance.

Desiree was a very special person. The type of person that wanted EVERYONE to be happy. If you were sad and Desiree was around, you had a very difficult time staying that way. Her smile could light up a room and her laughter was contagious.

Where the world will sometimes shy away from what they believe in, it was Desiree's philosophy that you should always be who you are. In her words; "Take me as I am!... I was given a voice and I'm not afraid to use it.... I am a lot more complicated than the person a lot of people get to see. I'm very loyal to all of my friends... Hug everyone you can today because tomorrow is not guaranteed."

There is no mistaking how many lives Desiree touched. Below are some photos of Desiree and her friends. Included is a video that was played at the memorial. It definitely demonstrates how full of life Desiree was. She will be missed. R.I.P Desiree. Comments are open below, if you wish to leave your regards.

DJ Tiesto delivered a highly energetic set to a packed house at The Bank Nightclub tonight. Tiesto is one of my favorite DJ's to get to cover as he always comes up with fresh uplifting beats that have his signature style all over them.

His mixes are very complex and I even spotted a layer of Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon interspersed and underneath one of his tracks. It's fun and intoxicating music and it makes you want to dance (even when your busy working making photos). The crowd was totally engaged and in full swing when I departed around 2am.

Yesterday, Sean "Diddy" Combs hosted the ultimate daylife affair at WET REPUBLIC - the ultra pool at MGM Grand. After a long week of filming his new movie "Get Him to the Greek" with co-stars Jonah Hill and Russell Brand in Las Vegas, Diddy took time off and spent Saturday afternoon partying at Sin City’s hottest pool party destination. WET REPUBLIC erupted when Diddy arrived on the blue carpet. After arriving at the venue, the music mogul’s first priority was to greet the fans that were lined-up waiting to meet him.

Diddy then resumed the party in one of WET REPUBLIC's bungalows filled with his entourage and beautiful sun worshippers. From his bungalow, Diddy took the daylife party to another level by doing a brief impromptu performance of his smash hit "Last Night" featuring Keyshia Cole. The entertainer and his entourage partied the rest of the afternoon as his good friend and well-known DJ, Felix Da Housecat took over the turntables to spin his heart pumping house beats.

“We're here at WET REPUBLIC and we're here to set the pool area off,” said Combs. “I'm known for throwing the best parties and whenever I get with the whole MGM family we do it big, we're here to make sure everyone has a good time.”

“I've been out here shooting a movie for the last two weeks, so I'm either going to be here or in Miami, but I'm falling in love with Vegas ...,” he noted about his upcoming plans for Memorial Day weekend.

"Its been incredible, and Vegas has been treating us great ... we're just having a good time," he noted about filming his upcoming movie "Get Him to the Greek" with Jonah Hill and Russell Brand.

In 1989, Seinfeld collaborated with Larry David to create the sitcom Seinfeld, which by its fourth season had become the most popular and successful sitcom on American television. The show ended in 1998, and afterwards, Seinfeld returned to his roots in stand-up and went on tour.
