PH Towers by Westgate is a soaring glass tower which stands 52-stories high and encompasses 1.9 million square-feet. When the project is fully completed, the PH Towers by Westgate will total 3.2 million square-feet and over 1200 units. The top five floors of the tower will consist of 32 luxury penthouse units ranging in size from 4,000-12,000 square-feet. The remainder of the building will be comprised of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom luxury timeshare units that rival the best suites on The Strip in both features and decor.

Units will have custom designed interior furnishings that include a state-of-the-art home theater, high-definition flat-panel televisions, relaxing whirlpool tubs, and uncompromised views of the Las Vegas skyline. One of the many unique features of PH Towers by Westgate will be a sleek and upscale lobby that overlooks an exotic tropical pool, complete with a sandy beach and private cabanas. The project will also include its own restaurant, casino, retail shops and convention center. Phase I Construction of PH Towers by Westgate commenced in January 2006 and set for completion in summer of 2009.

"Hart Attacks" will be served nightly at the newest anti-club in town -- Wasted Space. Co-created by Action Sports Super Star, Carey Hart, Wasted Space officially opened July 19 with a private VIP party and a special acoustic rock set from Gavin Rossdale.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opened the rock lounge as part of its $800 million expansion and renovation. Wasted Space is co-owned by Hart, Yankees baseball player Jason Giambi, and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Rockers Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte are partners and Hard Rock's Cory McCormack will act as managing partner.

Wasted Space represents the ultimate depiction of the decadent rock n' roll lifestyle. The first anti-club of its kind, Wasted Space melds the high-end rock n' roll culture with fashion, art and design creating a one of a kind atmosphere and nightlife experience.

"I wanted a place where my friends and I could hang out and listen to some great rock music with a cool atmosphere ... there were no options in Vegas, so I made my own," said Hart. "Wasted Space will feature the top rock artists weekly, in addition to the hottest DJ's in the country."

The club was designed by Hart, McCormack and Zeff Design. Hart hand-picked one of his favorite L.A. artists to create a 30-foot hand-made mural of vintage rock show posters and flyers with the signature Wasted Space winged microphone logo stenciled over them. The striking piece is hung above the bar area to add a personal element to the space.

The venue hosts two signature drinks:
-- "Hart Attack" - named after Carey Hart's famous record-breaking mid-air handstand on a 250cc motorcycle. The drink will consist of Jameson, Red Bull, cranberry and a float of Jagermeister.

-- "Sunday Bloody Sunday" - named after legendary U2 song, this will be the venue's signature Bloody Mary concoction.

The 5,000 square-foot nightclub will hold 400-500 people, has 17 tables/booths in the club itself, and five more in the 24-hour Wasted Lounge. The unique sound system offers a full nightclub sound package and the ability for live performers to rock the house every night of the week.

Wasted Space is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. with live music two nights/week and DJ's spinning the other four nights. Cover charges will vary based on talent from about $10-$25. The innovative team behind the uber-successful Tao Las Vegas is proud to announce LAVO, a new dining and nightlife concept set to open this August at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

Latin for "to bathe or cleanse," LAVO is an AvroKo designed space that derives inspiration from the bathhouses of ancient Mediterranean culture with a menu that highlights the best of the region's cuisine.

The journey from lounge to restaurant to nightclub begins with an entry into the lounge surrounded by worn tile walls and water stained plaster. Twenty foot ceilings of old wood and low chandeliers crown an area featuring a curved bar, leather seating and Moroccan tables. The restaurant is highlighted by a spectacular glass and wood screened bridge and is bordered by a grand carved stone wall.

Turkish water basins flank the bridge that leads to the second floor nightclub and the bridge itself becomes a gathering perch from which guests can observe the action below. The nightclub features vaulted glazed tile arches opening to a domed ceiling above the dance floor. Revelers can enjoy a sexy, elevated VIP area with posh banquettes, embossed leather walls and mirrored mosaic tile niches.

ABOUT THE RESTAURANT & CUISINE
Chef Ludo Lefebvre and his team of experienced chefs will treat guests to a culinary journey with selections of signature dishes from countries such as Spain, France and Italy. The menu is designed to encourage sampling and sharing among friends.

With classic French training, Lefebvre comes to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, where he held the distinction of being that city's only chef to earn the prestigious Mobil Travel Guide Five Star award at two different restaurants; L'Orangerie and Bastide.

The 300 seat restaurant includes a 180 seat main dining room, a 20 seat private dining room and 100 seats on the outdoor patio overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with late night dining until 2 am.

5300 Job Openings at Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas

Wynn Resorts is now accepting applications for 5,300 newly created job opportunities, as it prepares to unveil Encore, the new signature resort in the Wynn collection. The resort is scheduled to open in December 2008 with suite reservations now being accepted for dates starting in early 2009.

These openings span numerous departments including housekeeping, hotel operations, security, food and beverage, retail and casino operations. They also include opportunities with its other Las Vegas resort, Wynn Las Vegas.

Due to high levels of interest and Wynn's reputation as an employer of choice, Wynn anticipates more than 65,000 applicants -- or approximately 12 applicants for every open position.

This is Vegas is the upcoming action game from Midway that drops you into a stylized version of Las Vegas and lets you live a virtual life. The game is being developed by Surreal Software, of The Suffering fame, and takes an open-world approach. While this may sound like a setup that's been done to death (albeit not set exclusively in Vegas), Surreal's going in a unique, ballsy direction with the game.

Rather than try to outdo the cinematic take of the gold standard for the genre, Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto games, This is Vegas is taking a humorous, tongue-in-cheek approach. Surreal has tapped writer Jay Pinkerton, a former Cracked magazine editor, to help craft the game's story. Surreal representatives say the result falls somewhere between Ocean's Eleven and a Will Ferrell movie. As far as gameplay goes, we got a general overview and the chance to try out three short sequences from the game that gave us an idea of where it's headed.

I'm guessing someone started seeing the photos us photographers take at TAO Beach and they didn't like the unsightly steel beam look in the background of a lot of our shots. The rumors are true! Cher has returned to Las Vegas and is performing in the 4,100 seat arena, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace! Her performance on the Strip is bigger and even more spectacular than ever. Cher's first performance was on May 6, where she pulled out all the stops with a state-of-the-art stage that uses LCD screens in front of and to the sides of the stage. After Celine Dion’s retirement, Caesars Palace thought it would be hard to find someone to fill her shoes. But, they got lucky and ended up with two divas instead of one. Both Cher and Bette Midler will be sharing the stage at the Colosseum working for only weeks at a time and switching off. Both are veterans of the stage and will have no problem selling out performances in the very same way Celine did.

Cher has had a long history in Vegas. Her 44-year career practically started in Sin City, so she thought it would only be fitting to end it here as well. After her “farewell tour” fans thought the diva would go into hiding but she decided that it wasn’t the actual performances that she was getting tired of. It was all the moving around on tour. Moving from city to city each night was getting to be too much for her and since this new contract would not require her to live in Vegas (only working a few weeks at a time), she thought it was the perfect career move.

This was the first time I'd been back to Wasted Space since their locals/industry grand opening. They are open 6 days a week. That might be a bit much, but we'll see how it works out in a couple of weeks. Some are suggesting the club should be open 4 days a week.

If you like elbow room in your ROCK CLUB, then get there before 10:45pm. As soon as 10:45 hits, it's like a flood gate opening in there. Which for me was GREAT, given the fact that I got there at 10pm, hahaha. Damn it. Well, enjoy the photos.

Las Vegas Roadrunners, a comprehensive training program that prepares runners of all levels for The Las Vegas Marathon, now offers three weekly group-training locations.

I was fortunate to find Kristin Cavallari partying with some friends at TAO Nightclub. She was gracious enough to pose for me.

Kristin Cavallari was in her junior year of high school when the first season of Laguna Beach began production. At the time, she was involved in an on-and-off relationship with senior Stephen Colletti. Cavallari's romance with Colletti caused a rivalry with another cast member, Lauren Conrad. The love triangle became one of the series' central plotlines.

After her stint on Laguna Beach, Cavallari headed to L.A. and briefly enrolled at Loyola Marymount University. She then landed a hosting gig on UPN's Get This Party Started. The series drew low ratings and was canceled after only two episodes. Cavallari continued to pursue a career in acting, landing a guest role on Veronica Mars, and a lead role in Teddy Geiger's music video, "For You I Will (Confidence)". She has also starred in the new Gavin Degraw video for the song "I'm In Love With A Girl".

In September 2007, Cavallari began shooting the film, The Green Flash. She also has roles in two upcoming films; Fingerprints and Spring Breakdown, both set for release in 2008. - Kristin Cavallari on Wikipedia

Moet Rose flowed in celebration of Pierce receiving the MVP trophy at the 2008 NBA Championship Finals.

WOW!!! What a cool ass venue. It was mostly a local crowd for the soft opening, which was nice. A lot of friends were on hand to make the evening pleasurable. Co-Owners Carey Hart and Jason Giambi were also there.

Room For Rent near Las Vegas in Green Valley

There are so many amenities in this house, it would be a shame for YOU not to put them to good use.

My job requires me to be close to the strip. With gas prices the way they are these days, I wanted to be as close to the strip as possible, without feeling like it was on top of me.

So, what my friends and I decided to do was get a house together. We are all entrepreneurs. You don't have to be one yourself, but we all love bouncing new ideas off of one another. It's just one of those environments where virtually anyone can feel comfortable.

Here's some info about the house. There are 5 bedrooms (4 of them currently occupied), 3 bathrooms (you will have a bathroom to yourself, but it is downstairs and can be used if people are downstairs. 90% of the time, it's yours only), a large kitchen with two refrigerators (plenty of room for everyone's food), a huge entertainment room (including a pool table, big screen TV, and bar), an in ground swimming pool, and jacuzzi. There is additional room in the house if you have more furniture then just a bedroom set that you want to bring with you.

The home is in a gated community within 3 minutes of the 215 entrance/exit (at Pecos or Green Valley Pkwy), Green Valley Ranch, Whole Foods, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, and the huge St. Rose and Eastern shopping corridor (way too many shops to list). There is a photo tour below.

The rent is $800 per month, utilities are included (cable, high speed internet, local phone, electric, gas, and water). A $550 refundable (if your room is left how you got it and you stay a year) deposit is required at move in. Total move in is $1,350.

Requirements of the house are: No Drugs (that includes weed), No Smoking in the house (Ashtrays are required outside), No Eating other peoples food, No Parties (parties will be conducted on a household basis). I know these seem pretty obvious, but we are all professional people here, who expect the same in return. No Pets (except for caged animals or fish). There is already a dog here, her name is Coco.

Monday night, I was shooting at JET Nightclub. It was celebrity hair stylist Kim Vo's birthday party. There were also a lot of NBA players in the club. I think this was because the NBA's Summer League is in town. I'm pretty sure I saw Kevin Garnet of the Boston Celtics there as well.

The design of Yellowtail’s menu will encourage sharing and mimics Chef Back’s culinary philosophy “to bring happiness to my guests by creating a memorable experience through food.” Accessible and fun, shared plates will include Toro Sashimi with caviar and microgreens; Yellowtail Serrano, cilantro and yuzu-kosho, a condiment made from the zest of yuzu blended with chili peppers and salt.

Warm shared plates include farm-raised, grain-fed Jidori Chicken, popular with Japanese chefs, prepared with sweet Japanese garlic, potato puree, baby root vegetables and teriyaki; and Grilled Walu, Hawaiian Butterfish with shiitake mushrooms, pearl onions and tosa sauce, a bonito-flavored vinegar and soy sauce mixture.

In addition to traditional raw fish preparations, Chef Back will create a selection of innovative dishes inspired by his global travels as a professional snowboarder and experiences working with industry greats, such as Nobu and Morimoto. These dishes include the Big Eye Tuna Pizza with shiso, an aromatic mint-like herb popular in Japan; and Maine Lobster Carpaccio with sweet onion and cilantro. CatHouse Loungerie, the new dining and nightlife hot spot at the Luxor, is hosting a Rock ‘n Roll Wine event on Friday, July 18. In addition to Rock ‘n Roll Wine’s signature live music and eclectic wine selections, the evening will also feature a prix fixe menu by CatHouse’s own “rock and roll” chef, Kerry Simon.

The wines chosen for the event feature an array of selections, from summer refreshers to complex wines befitting of CatHouse’s seductive interior. These include Rock ‘n Roll Wine’s The Grotto, a sultry Aussie shiraz, and Reggae Rhapsody, a white blend of subtle complexity, as well as Ryan Patrick “Naked” Chardonnay, Sly Dog Cellars Cabernet, O’Brien Estate “Seduction”, and Michael David’s “7 Deadly Zins.”

A live performance will feature Stephanie Jordan on vocals and Michael Jordan on guitar. Jordan’s sultry voice will be the ideal complement to the wine selections and atmosphere.

The prix fixe menu begins at 6 p.m., is priced at just $40 plus tax and gratuity, and includes chilled melon gazpacho with grilled shrimp and petite mint, a choice of Atlantic salmon with young fennel and heirloom tomatoes or braised short ribs with fava beans, morel mushrooms and celery root, and a flute of stone fruit sorbets. The wine tasting is from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., and tickets are available at rocknrollwine.com for $35 plus tax. Tickets are first come, first served.

Beerfest Thursdays at McFadden's Featuring BEER PONG!
Beer Pong is a drinking game which is especially popular among college students, but can be enjoyed by any group looking for anything from a good buzz to a drunken stupor. It is generally played in pairs of two, with the teams standing at opposing ends of a flat, rectangular surface (preferably a ping pong table, but anything accepted by both teams can be used).

Six or ten cups are formed in a pyramid at either end of the table, with the base of the pyramid centered at the edge of the table. The players attempt to toss or bounce ping pong balls into the cups, each of which is filled with 1/3 of a beer (or other intoxicating spirit). When a player makes a shot into a cup of the opposing team, a player from the opposing team drinks the contents of the cup and removes it from the table.
The game continues in this way, with both players from one team taking a shot, followed by both players from the other team. The team that is able to clear all of the opposing team’s cups first is the winner, with the losing team splitting the contents of the winning team’s remaining cups.
To begin, a player from each team takes a shot simultaneously without looking at the cups. This is repeated until one team makes, and one team misses. This decides who gets the first possession.
After the first game, the winning team gets the first shot. The elbow rule is also applied for EVERY shot. A player’s elbow may not cross the plane of the playing table or it does not count. It sounds simple, but the game is more complex than it first appears.
Although the cups begin in a pyramid, they don’t necessarily stay that way. As there are more holes in the pyramid from removing cups, it gets more difficult to make shots. To account for this, a team must “re-rack” at certain numbers of remaining cups in order to keep a compact shape at which their opponents can shoot. Each team gets two re-racks per game at any time. Use them wisely.
A standard rule of thumb is to take one re-rack with 6 cups remaining, and then with 2 or 3 cups remaining. As with any drinking game, spills are inevitable. If you spill one of your cups, there is no penalty. You’re just dumb, because you lost that cup and just gave your opponents a freebee. You may even have booze all over your pants.
At McFadden’s, we leave disputes up to our general manager, Joe. But at home, we suggest the host of your party settle the disputes. And don’t forget, it’s just a beer game. Don’t get upset if something doesn’t work in your favor, because in this game, everyone wins!

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is about to get wet – and wild. On Saturday, July 19, the local Irish pub is transforming itself into the equivalent of a college spring break vacation in Cancun on steroids. Featuring a pool wrestling match, bikini contest, drink specials, cash prizes and an appearance by a trio of Playmates, the first-ever ‘Wet ‘n’ Wild’ is poised to put on a party guests won’t soon remember.

Evy Ng has made it through to Day 4 of the Main Event at the 2008 WSOP. It’s the furthest she has ever made it and she is currently sitting pretty with 440K in chips. Not used to the Main Event’s grueling schedule, she is getting as much sleep as she can and is refreshed for another day at the felt.

Also seen partying at the Las Vegas hot spot was Devon George of the Dallas Mavericks. Las Vegas favorite DJs Shift and Jose 2 Hype were behind the decks spinning hard-hitting tracks as they kept the dance floor packed and pumping all night long.

July 4th Weekend at TAO Beach brought a TON of people out to Vegas. Maybe it was the fact that TAO Beach is one of the coolest pool parties to go to while in Vegas or maybe it was the fact that Samantha Ronson was spinning and people were hoping to catch a glimpse of Lindsay Lohan.

Samantha Ronson celebrated part of her July 4th Weekend spinning at TAO Beach. She's one of the most interesting DJ's I've had the privilege to shoot. What makes her different then most DJ's is that she doesn't hype up the crowd by being animated behind the decks. You'll see no fist pumps, dancing around, or whistles with Samantha.

To me, she seems to be just a laid back DJ, generally with a concentrated look on her face, who lets how she spins speak for itself.

Bai Ling Inside Moon Night Club

Bai Ling Parties at Moon Night Club and Playboy Club

Bai Ling, wearing a short Black and White dress, arrived at the Playboy Club with a male friend at approximately 3:00am. She walked around Playboy for a bit, then was escorted up to Moon's Upper Mez by Roberto Semidei where she took in the view from the Terrace.

Her drink of choice for the evening were Peach Schnapps with Pineapple, OJ and Sprite. Bai spent a long time just gazing over the Las Vegas skyline from the Upper Mez Terrace. She is in town filming a movie and told Roberto that she comes to Playboy whenever she's in town.

Below is info you may not know about Bai Ling.

Bai Ling (born October 10, 1970) is a Chinese-born American actress. She began in the cult movie The Crow (1994), playing the half-sister/lover of the main villain, Top Dollar. She was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1998. She appeared in Chris Isaak's music video "Please" in 1998. She shaved off her hair, which had exceeded a length of 36 in (90 cm) for her role in Anna and the King.

She filmed scenes for Star Wars: Episode III (2005) as Senator Bana Breemu, but her role was cut during editing. She claimed that this was because of her posing nude for the June 2005 issue of Playboy magazine, whose appearance on newsstands coincided with the movie's May 2005 release, but director George Lucas denied this, stating that the cut had been made more than a year earlier.

Later in 2005 Bai was a castmate of the VH1 program called But Can They Sing?. Bai Ling was most famous for her risqué and raunchy get-ups and her performances of Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and The Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated". She has most recently appeared in the show Lost as part of Jack's flashbacks.

Last night, Above and Beyond spun live at Godskitchen Wednesdays inside Body English. The club was so packed, it was a bit tough to get around. That didn't stop the rabid fans of Above & Beyond to take over the dance floor.

I was very impressed on how generous Above & Beyond were with their fans. They even took moments away from the decks to pose for photos, shake hands with fans, and even sign albums for fans.

Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki met at the University of Westminster, and they set up the Anjunabeats label in the summer of 1999 with the release of the 'Anjunabeats Volume 1'. Anjunabeats Volume 1 was the very first track recorded by Jono and Paavo. This "Original Mix" packaged with their Tease Dub Mix received immediate attention in various dance clubs, and quickly gained support from Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold and Paul van Dyk. Above & Beyond came together in 2000 when producer Tony McGuinness called in Grant and Siljamäki to help him complete a remix of Chakra's "Home" track while at the Warner Music Group.[citation needed]

The inspiration for the name Above & Beyond came from a web page belonging to an American motivational trainer coincidentally named Jono Grant. Jono had the poster stuck to his wall. The slogan used by the motivational trainer was "Above & Beyond", and when the group was searching for a name to use for their Chakra remix, the slogan stuck out from the poster. 1. 2008 NBA Summer League to be Presented by EA Sports

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and EA SPORTS announced that EA SPORTS will be the presenting partner of the 2008 NBA Summer League, the league’s summer showcase in Las Vegas for top free agents and members of the 2008 Draft class.

As the presenting partner EA SPORTS will have a prominent in arena presence during all Summer League games and will receive advertising inventory in Summer League broadcasts on NBA TV and live webcasts on NBA.com. EA SPORTS will also welcome members of the media to Las Vegas by hosting a dinner at the Hardwood Suite at Palms Casino Resort where EA SPORTS is expected to make a major product announcement.

Additional partners of the 2008 NBA Summer League include adidas, Spalding, and T-Mobile USA. Each partner will conduct a variety of NBA-themed promotions surrounding the event and will have a strong branding presence in arena and in NBA Summer League media.

“The NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS is an annual right of passage where a new crop of talented players will take the court in search of securing a spot on an NBA team,” said Mark Tatum, NBA Senior Vice President of Marketing Partnerships. “As a long time partner of the NBA, EA SPORTS continues to expand their relationship with the league. Along with all of the event’s partners this year, the Summer League showcase will once again be a success for players and fans."

A total of 21 teams will compete in this year’s event in the desert and will feature 12 teams that appeared in this year’s NBA Playoffs, including the 2008 Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Lakers. From July 11 – 20, a 53-game schedule will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Recent participants in NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS include the last three NBA Rookie of the Year winners, Seattle’s Kevin Durant (2008), Brandon Roy of the Portland Trailblazers (2007) and New Orleans’ Chris Paul (2006).

The NBA LIVE video game franchise, is recognized worldwide for delivering the most authentic interactive basketball experience for more than a decade. The newest iteration in the series, NBA LIVE 09, is scheduled to be available in North America on October 7, and worldwide on October 14.

Slash Launches Concert Series at Red Rock Resort

Famed guitarist Slash to launch “Bottle Rock It” poolside concert series at Red Rock Resort on July 5

New eco-charity concert series to occur every Saturday night through Sept. 27

Red Rock Resort premieres “Bottle Rock It,” its new weekly poolside concert series with a wine-tasting charity option with all proceeds benefiting the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. Legendary rocker Slash and his Blues Ball Band will headline the premiere event on Saturday, July 5. Slash will be performing the first of three summer concerts at Red Rock Resort entitled LAST MAN STANDING; with each show featuring some of the most talented and legendary musicians in rock and hip hop history.

Joining Slash on stage for the launch will be Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Jason Bonham who performs with Led Zeppelin in place of his legendary father as well as appearances by Royston Langdon, formerly of Spacehog; and other surprise guest artists. Tickets for the event are $30 and available at the door. For an additional $15, guests can enjoy an organic wine tasting section with all proceeds from the wine tasting event benefiting the Las Vegas Springs Preserve.

“Bottle Rock It was designed for our guests to enjoy the hot summer nights poolside Saturdays at Red Rock Resort,” said Kyle Markman, nightlife manager at Station Casinos. “We thought that combining great music, amazing cocktails and poolside fun is the way Saturday night should be in Vegas, and don’t forget to bring your bathing suit.”

On July 12, rocker and vocalist Perry Farrell from Jane's Addiction will take the stage. Admission to the event will be $20 and tickets will be available at the door. As with all Bottle Rock It events, the wine tasting benefiting the Springs Preserve will be available for an additional $15. “Bottle Rock It” is put on by Red Rock Resort and SpyOnVegas.com and will take place every Saturday night through Sept. 27. Additional concert performances to be announced.
