McFadden’s Wet & Wild Bikini Contest

Bikini Contest, Wrestling Match and Drink Specials Make Some Playmates Want to Come Out and Play
McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is about to get wet – and wild. On Saturday, July 19, the local Irish pub is transforming itself into the equivalent of a college spring break vacation in Cancun on steroids. Featuring a pool wrestling match, bikini contest, drink specials, cash prizes and an appearance by a trio of Playmates, the first-ever ‘Wet ‘n’ Wild’ is poised to put on a party guests won’t soon remember.
The party begins at 10 p.m. with an array of drinks specials including $3 Coronas, $5 Rum Runners and $5 Get Lei’d Shots running all night long.
With the women getting all the action in the makeshift wrestling pool, the men will see some action out of the water when playmates Kara Monaco, Monica Leigh and Jordan Monroe drop by and join in the festivities at 11 p.m.
At 11:30 p.m., the games begin as McFadden’s staff sets up an inflatable pool filled with several gallons of water. Contestants brave – or inebriated – enough to get down ‘n’ dirty will by vying for a 3-month tanning package courtesy of the Tan Factory.
But if getting wet is not an option, female guests can opt to enter the bikini contest at midnight where one “talented” winner will take home $500 in cash.
There is something for everyone, because in true McFadden’s style, several other contests – including a limbo contest – will keep the party wild and crazy through to the wee hours of the morning.
McFadden’s 7,000-square-foot-plus tavern at the Rio is Sin City’s newest pub-hub for crowds seeking out an unpretentious party bar where both men and women roll up their sleeves and have a great time. Already famous on the East Coast and in the Midwest, McFadden’s Vegas outpost boasts two rooms (including a 150-person private party room with its own island bar), nearly 20 high-definition plasma TVs, a dance floor and a breathtakingly long 100-foot mahogany bar perfect for dancing on. Along with a full bar featuring dozens of favorite draught beers and 90-ounce fishbowl cocktails, customers can tuck into McFadden’s Almost Famous Boneless Buffalo Wings, Irish stew, and of course, shepherd’s pie topped with air-whipped potatoes, from Chef Brian Rathbun’s kitchen.
Open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. until the Erin goes bragh, McFadden’s beauteous Lucky Charms and jovial Ministers of Hospitality ensure everyone has fun, whether they’re there to watch the game, get their drink on with the dueling pianos and DJ Soup Can, or celebrate happy occasions and bachelorette parties.
Built in 1977 by an Irishman named Steve McFadden near Times Square on 42nd and 2nd, McFadden’s has grown to 11 locations across the country, including Boston; Pittsburgh; Chicago; Columbus; Washington, D.C.; Nashville; Worcester; and Philadelphia. The success is no surprise, thanks to Steve’s mission of providing a place for family and friends to gather and celebrate good times while enjoying great food and drinks. He even used his own family’s Irish recipe Shepherd’s Pie on the menu. When you combine that kind of unaffected love with great draught beer and a party atmosphere, it’s no wonder that McFadden’s has hosted millions of good times, bachelorette parties and sports nights.
McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon is open 11 a.m. to 4 a.m., seven days a week, inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89103. For more information, call 702.270-6200 or visit www.McFaddensSaloon.com.
