N9NE Group Events in May
WHAT: The N9NE Group maintains its reputation for hosting the most dynamic events in the city with the recent grand opening of Ditch Fridays’ second season at the Palms Pool & Bungalows and the debut of Music is the Currency at Rain Nightclub. The nightlife leader continues to impress clubgoers with international headliner acts including Snoop Dogg and Too $hort, and imaginative themes such as a superhero pajama party, finishing out the month of May with a bang.
EVENTS:
Thursday, May 15: ghostbar, an ultra-lounge and sky deck offering an almost 360-degree view of Las Vegas from the Palms, hosts an ‘80s themed “Less than Zero” night. Guests arriving in ‘80s attire or sporting a “Less than Zero” button will receive free entry, and ladies dressed appropriately will be treated to complimentary Champagne from 10:00 p.m. until midnight. At 1:00 a.m., awards will be given for “Best Look-Alike,” “Best Hair,” and “Most Rad Outfit.” Special guest DJ Mestizosix9 and resident DJ Mark Stylz will spin ‘80s pop, rock, and metal. Doors open at 8:00 p.m.
Friday, May 16: Internationally renowned DJ Mark Farina spins at Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool & Bungalows. Specializing in Chicago house, acid jazz, and downtempo, Mark Farina is recognized as one of the world’s top DJs by publications such as URB, MUZIK, and BPM Magazine. Ditch Fridays takes place noon to 6:00 p.m.
Friday, May 16: “Music is the Currency” at Rain Nightclub features cultural icon Snoop Dogg and hip-hop veteran Too $hort. After 16 years in the rap game, Snoop has become a household name, diversified his sound, and is the focus of E!’s hit reality show, “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.” Too $hort, owner of Up All Nite Records, has worked with such icons as Jay-Z, Diddy, and Notorious B.I.G. Most recently, Snoop and Too $hort collaborated with the release of “Life of da Party,” the second single from Snoop’s album “Ego Trippin.” The duo is scheduled to work the crowd as the featured headliners starting at 1:00 a.m. Doors open at 11:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 27: Red Bull Cola presents “The Big Sleepover,” an all-day/all-night superhero pajama party. From noon to 8:00 p.m. Red Bull Cola Man and his sidekick, Mini Bar Boy, will maintain order at the Palms Pool & Bungalows while DJs OB-One and Ikon spin. The heroes move the party to MOON Nightclub at 10:00 p.m. where resident DJ Mark Stylz combines video and audio mixing, and the sexy staff slips into PJs. At midnight, Red Bull Cola Man and Mini Bar Boy swoop down to the King Pin Suite in the Fantasy Tower for some bowling and Red Bull Cola Floats.
Friday, May 30: The colorful cast of E!’s hit reality show “Sunset Tan” will catch some real rays when they host Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool & Bungalows. Resident DJ Skribble spins from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Friday, May 30: “Music is the Currency” at Rain Nightclub features DJ Homicide of Sugar Ray. Homicide mixes rock and hip-hop, with musical taste ranging from The Clash and Led Zeppelin to Black Eyed Peas, ensuring there is never a dull moment when he’s on stage. Doors open at 11:00 p.m. and Homicide’s performance begins at 12:30 a.m.
