Partnership also brings live jazz for Sunday Brunch at Terra Verde Italian Cuisine
Green Valley Ranch resort is celebrating summer by bringing the great sounds of jazz by popular local and national jazz performers to one of the hippest summer hot spots in town: the resort’s backyard pool. Green Valley Ranch resort has partnered with Smooth Jazz 105.7 FM “The Oasis” along with 10 Cane Rum, to bring a free poolside summer jazz series to the Green Valley Ranch pool every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In addition to the weekly series, Smooth Jazz 105.7 FM jazzes up a new Sunday brunch at Terra Verde Italian Cuisine inside Green Valley Ranch with live music, every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring music by Calvin Brooks.

The pool area at Green Valley Ranch is the ideal spot for summertime jazz. Offering a delicious snack bar, lounge chairs and a variety seating and cabana options, patrons will be able to relax and enjoy the cool jazz sounds. Following is the May/June calendar:

In addition to the poolside jazz series, each Sunday, Terra Verde will bring the music of jazz guitarist and vocalist Calvin Brooks to diner’s tables. A Nevada resident since 1999, Brooks is originally from Detroit, where he studied music at Grinnell School of Music and under the guidance of many of the great Motown artists. His guitar stylings are greatly influenced by the late Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, George Benson, among several others. His vocals have been compared to Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, The Temptations, David Ruffin, Johnny Hartman and many more. Brooks has worked with jazz and Motown greats including Aretha Franklin and Lou Rawls.

Italian inspired Sunday brunch items include eggs romagnola with crispy prosciutto, frittata with lobster and asparagus, chilled seafood platter, assorted flatbreads and pastries and much more. Terra Verde Italian Cuisine is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday Brunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended by calling (702) 617-7075.
